On February 20, 2025, a chess blitz tournament was organized jointly with Gyumri State Vocational College No. 4 and "Family" State Vocational College. Students of Gyumri State Vocational College No. 3 also participated in the tournament.
The tournament was hosted by Gyumri chess player Lyova Davtyan, who has the first sports degree and the first-class qualification of a referee. As an athlete, he has recorded a number of successes, including being the champion of the school team world championship, a prizewinner of numerous national and international tournaments. He is the author of three chess books: "The Silent King", "Opening Game for Regular Chess Players", "2nd Grade Textbook".
The tournament aimed to develop the player's logical thinking, correct planning of strategic moves, stimulate interest in chess, form the ability to quickly navigate in different situations, make decisions, and strive to win.
30 /thirty/ participants of the game, thanks to tactically accurate actions, were able to play chess competently and creatively.
As a result of the game, the following participants took honorable places.
As a result of the tournament, the participants who took honorable places were awarded with certificates of honor.
