News
With gratitude and pride, we are pleased to share one of the significant achievements of our college.
The innovative pedagogical practice of Heriknaz Aharonyan, an English language lecturer at the “Shirak State College of Crafts and Innovative Technologies” SNCO, has been featured on the European Training Foundation’s (ETF) platform showcasing best practices in vocational education and training.
The practice focuses on adapting the Dutch Technasium educational model to the Armenian context, with the aim of advancing STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and project-based learning within Armenia’s vocational education and training (VET) system.
This innovative approach represents an important step toward advancing learner-centered education. At its core is the integration of research and project work as a structured teaching and learning methodology.
The practice has significant potential for wider dissemination and can be adapted by other vocational education and training institutions in Armenia and across the region. It can contribute to modernizing teaching methods, advancing STEM education, and preparing skilled professionals whose competencies meet the demands of the labor market.
We congratulate Heriknaz Aharonyan, English language lecturer at our college, on the recognition of her innovative pedagogical practice and her valuable contribution to the development of vocational education and training.
Initiatives like this represent an important step toward modern, learner-centered vocational education aligned with European educational approaches, contributing to the development and internationalization of our college.
