“The Master in the City of Masters”

At the initiative of librarian S. Hakobyan, the students of Gyumri State Vocational School No. 4, under the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, participated in a literary seminar titled “The Master in the City of Masters,” organized by the Shirak regional branch of the Writers’ Union of Armenia. The event was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Avetik Isahakyan, a great master of Armenian national literature.

In the context of revealing and appreciating the literary and cultural legacy left by the master, and fostering a culture of reading, the students had previously explored key pages of Isahakyan’s life and work in the school library together with the librarian.

The seminar was led by literary scholar Karine Martirosyan, a member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia, who presented Isahakyan’s literary heritage with professional depth, highlighting the unique features of his linguistic thinking and the spiritual and national values expressed in his works.

During the seminar, students recited Isahakyan’s poems, immersing themselves in the emotional world of the poet and expressing their own interpretations. The seminar became not only a cognitive experience but also an educational and inspiring platform, contributing to the transmission of literary and cultural values between generations.
