At the initiative of Kima Gharagyozyan, Head of the Career Guidance Center at Gyumri Craftsman State School № 4, the school’s student council participated in the “Back to Forward” event organized on the occasion of International Men’s Day in collaboration with the UN Population Fund, the “Nairyan” Vocal Ensemble, and the “Youth Initiatives Center” NGO. The performance combined theater and vocal art, staging a symbolic meeting with prominent Armenian intellectuals and writers.

The participants in the staged dialogue were Zabel Yesayan, Katarine Zalyan-Manukyan, Perchuhi Partizpanyan, Shushanik Kurghinian, as well as Yesayan’s son Hrant, Raffi, and Grigor Artsruni. Their conversations, inspired by Artsruni’s journalistic essays and classical Armenian literature, addressed the social role of women, men’s involvement in family life, and the balance of family responsibilities.

Through the performance, the students attending the event deepened their understanding of gender equality and human rights.
