On December 6, 2024, at 12:00, at Gyumri Vocational State College No. 4, paying tribute to the memory of the victims of the 1988 Spitak earthquake, an evacuation process was carried out at the initiative of military leader A. Gevorgyan.
The goal of the event was to check the preparedness of students, teaching and service staff during the earthquake, the application of theoretical and practical knowledge in the created emergency situation, and to improve the ability to organize evacuation.
According to the Civil Protection Plan of the educational institution, training courses are regularly held for students and college employees on how to correctly navigate in emergency situations, demonstrate competent and organized behavior, and withstand disasters.
The awareness of students, faculty and staff, and the campus's emergency evacuation routes and exits, as well as the locations of fire-fighting equipment, enabled them to orient themselves correctly, follow all instructions competently, and evacuate on time, clearly understanding the sequence of exits from the building and the evacuation routes.
