On April 4, 2024, at the Vocational State School No. 4 of Gyumri, the lecturer of the basics of geography, landscape science and ecology subjects A. At Baroyan's initiative, within the framework of the annual "Clean Armenia" theme, a round table-discussion on the topic "Each of Us" was held. First-year students participated in the round table discussion, and Hamlet Gevorgyan, the coordinator of sanitary cleaning works of the utility department of Gyumri Municipality, participated as a guest. The purpose of the event was to educate students in eco-education, to instill culture, emphasizing the importance of preserving the cleanliness of their own country and hometown.
The participants had previously done research work, contacted the employees of the relevant department of the local self-government body, and reached an agreement in order to hold the conversation-discussion together.
The students clearly presented the topic using the information they had prepared, the topic slide and the poster. They were able to raise many issues related to the cleanliness of the city of Gyumri that require an urgent solution, make analyzes and comments. They reflected on garbage collection, its effective organization and instilling eco-culture in society.
Hamlet Gevorgyan, coordinator of sanitary cleaning, gave solid and comprehensive answers to the questions of the students. During the lively discussion, current problems were covered, effective solutions were proposed, because it is the duty of every citizen to realize the importance of his personality and active participation in the protection of the cleanliness of his hometown.
