On February 29, 2024, a conversation-discussion dedicated to the "Saints of Vardanants" holiday was held with the participation of students of the first year of Gyumri No. 4 Vocational State School with the title "Death not known is death, death known is immortality".
At the beginning of the conversation-discussion, the students explained the characteristic of the Vardanants war, which became a catchphrase of the fifth century historian Yeghishe, "Death is not known death, death known is immortality", which gave the students the opportunity to prove once again that the Vardanants war, waged for the defense of the homeland and faith, was an Armenian freedom fighter. It was a bright expression of spirit. The battle of Avarair, as a battle for survival, was a victory against tyranny and conversion. It was also mentioned that the Armenian Apostolic Church ranked 135 of those who died heroically in the battle of Avarayr among the holy martyrs and entered their memorial day into the church calendar as the feast of St. Vardanants.
Students watched excerpts from the documentary film "Avarair". Then there was a discussion about the causes, process and consequences of the struggle for existence. The students expressed the opinion that the phrase "Death not known is death, death known is immortality" has always become a noble idea of inspiring generations and protecting the motherland at the cost of life.
