Discussion of "Avarair" documentary film

23/03/2018

On March 20, a discussion on "Avarayr" documentary film dedicated to Vardanants Day was held at Gyumri Craftsman State School N4.
The aim of the event was to promote students' military-patriotic upbringing, to appreciate the value of national history lessons and the role of faith in the preservation of national identity.
After the introductory speech of the teacher, the students watched the analytical, documentary "Avarair" video battle, where was clearly presented Vardanants' heroic deed.
During the discussion, taking into account the military-political situation of Armenia in the fifth century, the students analyzed the meeting in Artashat in 449, referring to the following questions:
    Why did the political division take place between rebel forces?
    War or no war? Which was the solution?
    What gave us the Avareir’s lesson?

As a result of the discussion, the students came up with the idea that the church and the Vardanants rebellion had their unique and important role in the preservation of national identity so far.
Centuries have passed ... today Vardans are born on the border and are loyal to their homeland for the sake of faith, for which the Motherland, the Christian church, and sacred Motherland are dear and sacred values.
