THE ONE WHO IS AWARE IS PROTECTED

On December 6, 2023, in the hall of Gyumri Gyumri Craftsman state School No. 4, employees of the Northern Regional Center of the National Research and Development Organization "SPTC" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia conducted a training on the topic "Code of conduct for earthquake protection" in order to raise awareness of the teaching staff and students. The chief specialists of the Department for work with the population Karine Sargsyan and Zoya Harutyunyan spoke in detail about the catastrophic earthquake of 1988 (the Spitak earthquake), its strength and seismological characteristics., important information about the destruction caused by powerful aftershocks. The demonstration and interpretation of training videos from professionals was also noted.:
In her closing remarks, Sargsyan touched upon the importance of observing the codes of conduct of the population in the field of security: "Everyone who lives in an earthquake-prone area should know what to do before, during and after an earthquake in order to suffer as little as possible."
